By now, you’ve probably heard that the Samsung SmartWatch 2 will launch in January 2017, and that it’ll feature the same watchOS 3 as the Galaxy S8 and S8+ (including the new watchOS 4).
Now, the Samsung watchOS team has released a new update to their website that gives you the opportunity to try out the latest version of their watchOS apps and games.
The new update includes the new WatchOS 4, a version of the Android Wear software that was first released back in February, and features the latest features from WatchOS 3, including:Samsung SmartWatch Watch 2, Galaxy S9, Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy A series, Galaxy E series, Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy X series, and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
You can download the update now.
The update also includes a few tweaks to the WatchOS app.
For instance, it now shows a new watch icon when launching WatchOS apps, and it’s now easier to remove WatchOS 2 apps from the watchOS 2 launcher.
You will still need to install the watch app from the Play Store to use this update.
As always, you can download WatchOS for free on Google Play for all Samsung Smart Watches.
