A Washington hotel hosted a meeting between the Trump family, with the President at one point taking off his jacket and sitting on a couch.
The visit was meant to help President Trump deal with the growing scrutiny he faces after a series of sexual misconduct allegations against him.
The family, who are in town to visit a family friend in Ohio, also had dinner with family and other guests at the hotel, which was the home of the family’s Washington, D.C., hotel.
The White House has said that Mr. Trump is cooperating with the investigations.
At least two of Mr. Mueller’s indictments against Mr. Kushner came as the President was considering pardons for the people who were fired, who were also accused of obstruction of justice.
The President was reportedly considering pardoning those people, though the White House later said those conversations would not take place.
The Justice Department has said Mr. Comey and other officials told the White Senate Office of Public Counsel about the meetings with Mr. Manafort, Mr. Gates, and Mr. Kasowitz.
“In his conversation with the counsel, Mr.”
Mueller was told that he would be making decisions about whether to seek a pardon, according to a Justice Department document.
A spokesman for the President declined to comment on the meeting.
On Monday, Mr Trump returned to the White Houses residence to attend a news conference with the Vice President, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and Vice President-elect Mike Pence.
He was accompanied by Mr. Pence’s daughter, Ivanka, and his son, Barron.
The president and his family are expected to visit the Capitol, the Whitehouse, and the Justice Department.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. ET.
